The secret of the refinement and originality of this panforte lies in the history of the Bonci family, which has been handing down the recipe for three generations: the selection of spices from the flavors of medieval tradition, the slow and delicate baking and the artisanal preparation of the candied fruit used. The pastry art of the Bonci Brothers then combines them to create a precious delicacy.
The history of Pastry Shop Bonci began in 1953 with brothers Gino and Giuseppe, who opened a bakery in Montevarchi in Valdarno. Today the pastry shop has become a symbol of traditional craftsmanship, with strong ties to Tuscan food and wine history, but with a desire to create new specialties and sought-after flavor combinations. In recent years, the pastry shop has been joined by gourmet products such as giardiniere, mustards and jellies.
