The biscuits "Brutti ma Buoni," delicious crunchy hazelnut cookies, are a specialty of Cascina Barroero, the farm in Cortemilia in the Langhe region of Italy that grows the extraordinary IGP Piedmont Hazelnuts and transforms them into many delicacies. Excellent with coffee, afternoon tea and as a sweet treat at the end of a meal accompanied by a small glass of fortified wine.
From his family's pastry shop in a small town near Alba, with a passion for sweets inherited from his father, Stefano Barroero decided to move with his wife to Cortemilia, in the hills of the Langhe, and start cultivating IGP Piedmont Hazelnuts, the main ingredient of many typical specialties of his land. With a raw material of absolute quality, lots of passion and skill, Cascina Barroero offers sweet and savory delicacies.
