Il liquore di mirto è una specialità tipica della Sardegna: è ottenuto dalla macerazione alcolica delle bacche mature di mirto, ricche di pigmento, che gli dà il caratteristico colore. Il mirto è una pianta aromatica a cespuglio, diffusa nella macchia mediterranea, con proprietà officinali. È balsamico, antinfiammatorio, antisettico, ma le sue bacche sono soprattutto utilizzate nelle ricette della cucina sarda. Itria Sirissi, specializzata nell’essicazione delle bacche di mirto, prepara questo liquore artigianalmente, secondo la ricetta tradizionale. Il Mirto Itria Sirissi è ottimo come digestivo, servito ben freddo a fine pasto. Da provare per arricchire il gelato alla frutta.
Itria Sirissi is the Picchedda family's farm, which grows and packages some of Sardinia's excellences, such as saffron, chili peppers, myrtle and oregano, all products of the highest quality, appreciated by the finest palates, precious fruits of the earth, treated with experience and passion. The company is located in the Piana di Turri, a small town in the south of the island, where saffron bulbs are handed down from generation to generation. The best bulbs are found in the Itria and Sirissi plantations. All products offered by the company are 100% Sardinian.
