The Panpepato descends from an ancient Medici recipe: rich with almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, figs, honey and spices, it is covered with dark chocolate and a few grains of pink peppercorns. Bonci selects the best ingredients for a flawless result. An exquisite treat for the palate, to be served at the end of a meal with a small glass of fortified wine.
The history of Pastry Shop Bonci began in 1953 with brothers Gino and Giuseppe, who opened a bakery in Montevarchi in Valdarno. Today the pastry shop has become a symbol of traditional craftsmanship, with strong ties to Tuscan food and wine history, but with a desire to create new specialties and sought-after flavor combinations. In recent years, the pastry shop has been joined by gourmet products such as giardiniere, mustards and jellies.
