This wine, which comes from the vineyards of the Pèppoli estate, is a Chianti Classico made from Sangiovese grapes with a small addition of Merlot and Syrah, aged in barrels. Ruby red in color with purplish highlights, it has aromas of cherries, currants and violets, and is savory in the mouth, with pleasant acidity and velvety soft tannins. It excellently accompanies meat and game dishes.
The very long history of Antinori began in 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori enrolled in the Arte dei Vinattieri Fiorentina. Since then, the 26 generations that have succeeded one another at the helm of Antinori have maintained a very close link with the wine culture of the area, leading Antinori to become a spokesman for the quality of the wines of the Chianti area throughout the world.
