Zabajone is a liqueur made from eggs and alcohol, typical of Emilia Romagna, included in the list of Traditional Food Products (PAT) in 2011. It was invented in 1946 by a young entrepreneur from Ferrara. La Dispensa di Amerigo produces it according to the original recipe and with selected ingredients. Thanks to its low alcohol content, it can be enjoyed in many ways: at room temperature it is an excellent drink, in winter it is an invigorating drink, in summer it is excellent as ice cream or to enhance ice cream. It becomes a delicious dessert served in a cup with crumbled cookies and dark chocolate flakes. Alcohol content 21%.
In 1934 Amerigo and Agnese opened an establishment in the vicinity of Bologna, La Trattoria di Amerigo, which within a short time became a point of reference for lovers of simple old-fashioned cuisine, made of genuine products treated with respect and love. In 1996 La Dispensa di Amerigo was born, the food company that offers the best of Emilian and Italian gastronomy, ready for consumption, all prepared with exceptional ingredients, from local productions, without any additives or artificial flavors. It is the great peasant canning tradition that, thanks to constant commitment, arrives on tables with the guarantee of authentic flavors and the highest level of quality.
